yt:video:V-BFPLda83cV-BFPLda83cUCCa00A5D1ziZXEiVdcctuEwSeptember is important to Cervivor because it is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM for short). Did you know…? *In the U.S. alone, an estimated 98,000 women will be diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer each year? *Or that an astonishing 30,000 lives will be taken by the disease? GCAM provides an important opportunity to draw attention to “below the belt” cancers and share vital information on the warning signs and prevention strategies. We'll be sharing our stories, warning signs, and prevention strategies for gynecologic cancers throughout this month. You can also kickstart conversations by wearing a #Cervivor t-shirt or other merchandise. Grab yours at Cervivor.org/shop! This September, let’s spark conversations, share our stories and get people talking! For more information visit: http://www.cervivor.org. Have you recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer? Or are you a 3-year survivor, a 5-year survivor, a 20-year survivor? Have you always wondered how to talk about your experience in a way that will help prevent others from having to go through what you went through? Would you like to get more involved in educating your local community about prevention? Whatever your story is, if you want to advocate to get rid of this disease once and for all, CERVIVOR is for you! Please understand that our cervivors are sharing their stories in their own words, with some of their experiences being from many years ago. Screening guidelines have changed, tests have changed, vaccinations have been introduced, and new treatments are always on the horizon. While we do our best to bring you the latest updates on research news, prevention, and treatment, as well as the most current guidelines for screening, vaccination, and treatment, this information is always changing. Please refer to our website for current information and always speak to your healthcare provider about what is right for you.
